The Evaluation Process

Most individuals who come to Stafford Psy Evals are referred for psychological evaluation by an employer, a government agency, or as part of a disability determination or legal process. These evaluations are typically required to meet specific professional, regulatory, or legal standards.

When an evaluation is referral-based, the cost of the assessment is covered by the referring agency. Completed evaluation results and reports are submitted directly to that organization in accordance with their requirements.

Individuals who are self-referred and self-pay will receive their testing results and a clinical report during a follow-up appointment.

During Your Visit

Evaluations are conducted in a professional, respectful, and confidential setting. The process may include a clinical interview, standardized testing, and a review of relevant records, depending on the nature of the referral.

After the Evaluation

Once the evaluation is complete, results are prepared based on the purpose of the referral. For agency-referred evaluations, reports are delivered directly to the requesting organization. For self-referred evaluations, results are reviewed with you during your follow-up appointment.
